follicular berry bowl
- 200g natural or greek yoghurt
- handful of fresh or frozen berries
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tbsp ground pumpkin seeds
- drizzle of honey
- small handful of granola (optional)
- spoon the yoghurt into a bowl.
- top with the berries and granola, if using.
- sprinkle over the ground flaxseed and pumpkin seeds.
- finish with a drizzle of honey.
luteal banana bowl
- 200g natural or greek yoghurt
- 1/2 banana, sliced
- 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp ground sunflower seeds
- pinch of cinnamon
- spoon the yoghurt into a bowl.
- arrange the banana slices on top.
- sprinkle over the ground sesame and sunflower seeds and cinnamon.
savoury cucumber and herb bowl
a lighter, savoury option that makes a good snack or side at lunchtime.
- 200g natural yoghurt
- 1/4 cucumber, finely diced
- small handful of chopped mint or dill
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp ground seeds (flaxseed and pumpkin, or sesame and sunflower)
- drizzle of olive oil
- stir the cucumber, herbs and salt through the yoghurt.
- spoon into a bowl.
- top with the ground seeds and a drizzle of olive oil.
yoghurt itself is a source of protein and calcium, which pairs well with the fibre and healthy fats in ground flaxseed and pumpkin seeds, or the calcium and vitamin e found in ground sesame and sunflower seeds. these bowls take barely five minutes to put together, making them an easy habit to build into breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack.
